Directions

The Royal Yacht does not have its own car park; however, Pier Road car park is a short distance away. Directions from airport and harbour to Pier Road:

Upon leaving the airport car park there is a mini roundabout, take the first exit. Follow the road until you get to another mini-roundabout; take the second exit. This will take you down a fairly steep and winding hill. At the bottom of this there is a tiny filter-in-turn roundabout; take the first left.

Following this road will take you onto a dual carriageway and the sea will be on your right hand side. At the end of this dual carriageway, keep in the middle lane and go through an underpass. As soon as you exit the underpass move into the left hand lane; this will take you around to the left. (From the harbour, take the third exit on the roundabout at the entrance to the harbour area, and this will take you into this lane)

Now keep an eye out for signs for Pier Road car park - following the signs will be the easiest way to find it. As you follow the road off to the left, the road forks and you will need to turn right outside the Pomme D’Or Hotel, then take the third right turn and follow it until it crosses over a main road. This should take you onto Pier Road which is uphill. After about 300 yards you will reach Pier Road Car Park on the left hand side.

This is the closest car park to the hotel, and operates on a scratch card basis, which costs approximately 66 pence per hour (between 8am and 5pm, Monday-Saturday) and need to be purchased from a garage or corner shop.

To get to the hotel by foot, you need to leave the car park and go back down the hill in the direction you came, back to the main road junction. Turn left down Mulcaster Street, and you will be walking down the length of the side of the hotel, so you should see side entrances for The Drift and The P.O.S.H. Bar. So follow the hotel around to the left and you will arrive at the hotel reception entrance.
